Magnonics is an emerging subfield of spintronics that focuses on the manipulation of collective spin excitations in magnetic materials. The use of magnons for classical or quantum information transport is being considered as a long-term prospect. In the present project, magnonics is of interest for engineering static and dynamic magnetic fields, with potential applications in magnetic resonance involving individual spins. The position aims to develop low-temperature experiments involving magnonic systems and microwave circuits. The project will investigate the properties of YIG microstructures coupled to a superconducting resonator at very low temperatures.
