Subject description The research involves developing photocatalytic reactions for the reduction of CO2 to fuels and the reduction of protons to hydrogen gas. Work duties The work involves optimizing the respective photocatalytic reactions that have been develop in the group using iron N-heterocyclic carbene complex as the photosensitizer together with different CO2-reduction catalysts. The work is mainly laborative, but writing of texts aimed for scientific publications is also a part of the work duties. Qualification requirements Applicants must have: - A PhD or equivalent research qualification within organic/inorganic chemistry. - Post-doc research qualifications within the area of photocatalysis involving transition metal complexes. - Very good oral and written proficiency in English.
