The engineer’s role will consist of integrating evapotranspiration products derived from satellite thermal imagery into an FAO-56 modeling process, with the goal of improving the accuracy of irrigation recommendations for farmers. The successful candidate will be responsible for generating evapotranspiration data for several study sites over the course of the two-year project, using available data (satellite and in situ), and for evaluating the approach for assimilating this data into the FAO-56 model (existing code). This assignment is part of a project funded by CNES in preparation for the TRISHNA mission and is co-supervised by CESBIO and TERANIS.
