M/F Hydrophobic solvation and reactivity at solid-liquid interfaces at extreme conditions

EURAXESS hosting organisation · Plusieurs pays européens

Investigation of the solvation properties of metal- and oxide-water interfaces, from ambient conditions to extreme P,T conditions, close to and beyond the critical point of water. The applications targeted cover bubble nucleation during hydrogen evolution reaction at room T and P at metal electrodes, CO2 mineralization on silica based oxides, and biological interfaces. Extensive Molecular dynamics (MD), integrated with ML potential where needed. Biased MD for the study of reactive events, development of hydrophobic solvation theories for the interfacial environment, statistical analysis of cavities in water and at the interface (relevant to hydrophobic solvation). The post-doc will join a dynamic and diverse research environment at the ENS, centered on question related to interfaces and so
