PhD Thesis (M/F) : Development of a Hybrid Magnetic Nanoplatform for Intracellular RNA Delivery
EURAXESS hosting organisation · Plusieurs pays européens
The work will be carried out at the PHENIX laboratory, within the Inorganic Colloids team at Sorbonne University. A collaboration with Claire Wilhelm from the PCC laboratory at Institut Curie is planned for the study of extracellular vesicles. The delivery of RNA into the cytosol represents a major challenge for the development of new delivery strategies and RNA-based therapies. Indeed, following cellular internalization, RNA molecules are frequently trapped within endosomal compartments and subsequently degraded. The development of new lipids, particularly cationic and ionizable lipids, capable of promoting interactions and fusion with cellular or endosomal membranes, has led to major advances in this field, culminating in the development of mRNA vaccines against COVID-19.
