Predictive Methods and Techniques for the Assessment of Noise and Vibration in Rail Transport Systems - 2026IPDDMEC6
EURAXESS hosting organisation · Plusieurs pays européens
The research activity focuses on the development and validation of advanced simulation methods and tools for predicting the vibroacoustic impact of rail transportation systems, with particular emphasis on rolling noise, curve squeal, and ground-borne vibration. The project involves the integration of multiple modelling levels, including railway vehicle dynamics, wheel–rail contact, train–track interaction, structural dynamics, wave propagation, and sound radiation. In addition to theoretical and numerical modelling, the research will also include experimental activities (both in the laboratory and/or on-site), aimed at collecting data for the validation of the developed models. The selected candidate will also be involved in teaching and laboratory activities in the field of Applied Mechan
