In short

The Red Dot Award: Design Concept 2027 judges unreleased design concepts and prototypes from companies, studios and designers. Submissions open on 1 December 2026 (early period to 20 January 2027) and close on 28 April 2027. Designers and students under 30 enter as Next Gen with 30% off the fees, and the best young designer receives the Peter Zec Prize of 10,000 Singapore dollars. The fee amounts for 2027 are not published yet.

Who can apply

Country
Red Dot opens Design Concept to companies, studios and designers and names no country restriction, so Tunisian designers and students can submit online.
Next Gen
Design students and young professionals under 30 enter as Next Gen, with 30% off the submission fee and the Winner Package.

Funding and what it does not cover

The Peter Zec Prize for young designers comes with 10,000 Singapore dollars. Entry is paid; the 2027 amounts are to be confirmed.
