The research program focuses on the development and advanced characterization of single-atom catalysts (SACs) through innovative structural and spectroscopic techniques, with particular emphasis on operando and in situ investigations under realistic reaction conditions. The activity will address the understanding of structure–activity–stability relationships of isolated atomic sites supported on functional materials through the integrated use of advanced electron microscopy, X-ray absorption spectroscopy (XAS), diffraction methods, vibrational spectroscopies, and multimodal approaches with high temporal and spatial resolution.
