The project investigates how AI can bridge the gap between deliberative democracy and the legislative process, transforming public debate into structured and legally usable knowledge. It pursues three goals: (1) developing AI methods to analyse arguments, pros and cons, agreement and disagreement, fallacies and biases, while preserving pluralism and minority positions; (2) connecting deliberative platforms with legislative systems through semantic technologies and a Deliberation Knowledge Graph, ensuring provenance and traceability; and (3) using GenAI to transform deliberative proposals into legally usable candidate amendments and detect potentially discriminatory provisions.
