Central European University (CEU) in Vienna takes applications for its doctoral programs for 2027-2028 until 15 January 2027 at 23:59 CET. Applicants who meet the deadline are considered automatically for the CEU Doctoral Scholarship: full tuition and a stipend of 2,002 euros gross a month for 48 months. The application fee is 30 euros.
Who can apply
Nationality
CEU says candidates from any country can apply for its financial aid, and its doctoral admission rules set no nationality condition. Tunisians, as non-EU citizens, need an Austrian residence permit or study visa.
Language
Proof of English is required unless English is your first language or your degree was taught entirely in English, for example TOEFL iBT 100, IELTS Academic 7.0 or Duolingo 130.

You may apply to up to five CEU programs. Each application must be complete, with its references.
Funding and what it does not cover
The CEU Doctoral Scholarship covers full tuition and pays 2,002 euros gross a month for 48 months. Applicants who meet the deadline are considered automatically. The stipend is taxable self-employed income in Austria.
