Integrated Agronomic and Environmental Modeling: Impacts of Climate Change and Adaptation Strategies in Cropping Systems

EURAXESS hosting organisation · Multiple European countries

The project takes a multidisciplinary approach to addressing the challenges posed by climate change to the agricultural sector. The initial phase of the research will focus on data collection and processing, integrating the study of agricultural production databases with the analysis of climate databases and Life Cycle Assessment (LCA) inventories, such as Ecoinvent and Agrifootprint. Building on this foundation, the applied study will use crop growth models (both statistical and process-based) to simulate future trends in agricultural productivity, supplemented by LCA models to estimate the potential environmental impact of growth processes under varying climatic conditions.
