IONIZING RADIATION DETECTORS BASED ON PEROVSKITE THIN FILMS FOR MONITORING RADIOPHARMACEUTICALS
EURAXESS hosting organisation · Multiple European countries
The candidate will develop an innovative ionizing radiation detector prototype based on perovskite thin films, capable of monitoring radiopharmaceutical activity in real time. This prototype will consist of an array of perovskite detector pixels fabricated using solution-deposition techniques characterized by low production costs and high industrial scalability. Validation tests will be conducted to provide statistically significant proof of real-time, large-area detection of radiopharmaceuticals and radioactive contamination. The pixel detector array will be managed via dedicated electronics and AI-based signal processing; this enables real-time visual localization of the incidence area of a radiation beam, the detection of surface contamination, and the monitoring of integrated radiation
