Postdoc Aircraft Noise Computations from Installed Propeller-Fuselage Interaction

EURAXESS hosting organisation · Multiple European countries

Job description A key challenge for the successful deployment of Clean Aviation’s Ultra-Efficient Regional Aircraft (UERA) concept is the achievement of passenger acceptable cabin acoustic performance under stringent aircraft level constraints. In SILENTIUM, the UERA use case is defined as a hybrid-electric regional turboprop aircraft carrying more than 50 passengers, with expected entry into service from 2035.Turboprop aircraft generate a demanding noise and vibration environment, including low frequency tonal propeller components, broadband turbulent boundary layer excitation and structure borne transmission paths. Cabin acoustic treatment is therefore an enabling element for the UERA concept, provided that selected solutions do not undermine the aircraft level efficiency gains targeted
