Gates Cambridge Trust

Who can apply · Citizens of any country outside the UK, including Tunisians, applying for a PhD, MLitt or one-year postgraduate course at Cambridge starting in 2027/28. Tunisians use the international round.

Full cost: fees + £23,152/year maintenance (2026-27 rate) · Gates Cambridge lists the University Composition Fee, a maintenance allowance of £23,152 for 12 months (2026-27 rate, pro rata for shorter courses), one economy airfare at the start and end of the course, inbound visa costs and the Immigration Health Surcharge, plus discretionary academic development funding and a dependent children allowance.

Deadline · 8 December 2026 or 6 January 2027 at 11:59pm UK time, depending on your course's funding deadline in the Cambridge Course Directory (the earlier date is shown here). The separate US round closed on 14 October 2026 and is only for US citizens resident in the US.
