Who can apply · Graduates with an excellent academic and research record who want to start a full-time PhD at one of eight Hong Kong universities. The scheme is open irrespective of country of origin, so Tunisian applicants can apply.

HK$344,400 a year + HK$14,400 travel allowance a year · An annual stipend of HK$344,400 (about US$44,150) and a conference and research-related travel allowance of HK$14,400 (about US$1,840) a year, for up to three years. Universities may give extra support to awardees who need more than three years.

Deadline · 1 December 2026, 12:00 noon Hong Kong time for the RGC initial application (HKPFS reference number); full applications to the eight universities are due the same day by 11:59 pm Hong Kong time
