Nationality
Teams are welcome from 'almost every country in the world'. Tunisia is not named and excluded countries are not listed; the competition is void where prohibited by law.
StatedEducation
All team members must be enrolled in a degree-seeking programme (undergraduate or graduate) at the time of registration.
StatedAge
All team members must be at least 18 years old by 28 February 2027 to compete.
StatedTeam
Teams of 2 to 4 members pitching a for-profit business that supports at least one UN SDG.
StatedLanguage
All submissions and official competition phases are in English.
StatedFunding and what it does not cover
One of the top 8 finalists receives US$1 million in seed investment. The Hult Prize Foundation takes an equity stake in the winning startup, typically 10%. Participation costs are the teams' own responsibility.
