National of an African country (Foundation page; ITC requires African nationality). ECA requires nationality of an ECA member State and the AfDB of a Bank member country; Tunisia is covered by both.

At least seven years of relevant work experience, with experience in strategic planning, policy and leadership; each host adds its own criteria.

Funding and what it does not cover

The Foundation funds a US$100,000 stipend, paid monthly by the host, and the travel costs of taking up the post and returning home. Hosts pay official mission travel. Medical insurance arrangements differ by host.
