Who can apply
Criteria stated by the funder on the official source.
Country
Bilateral programme between France and Tunisia: applications must be co-submitted by French and Tunisian partner researchers to the responsible bodies in each country.
StatedWho can apply
Researchers in laboratories attached to higher education and research institutions or scientific research bodies; companies can take part if associated with a French academic partner. Individuals cannot apply alone.
StatedCotutelle PhD
At least one cotutelle PhD must be named in the proposal, with the cotutelle agreement signed after selection; up to two cotutelle doctoral students per project can be funded.
StatedPrevious funding
Leaders with a current Utique project, or who were funded before, must wait at least two years after the end of the project before applying again; new teams get priority.
StatedLanguage
Campus France says French applications are entered in French (preferably) or English, as each call specifies; the Utique page sets no separate language rule.
StatedFunding and what it does not cover
Mobility funding: France contributes about 10,000 euros per project per year (on average 8,000 for mobility and 2,000 for logistics) and Tunisia up to 18,000 DT a year per project (about 6,000 euros). It pays travel and daily allowances, not research costs or equipment.

- Stays of Tunisian senior researchers in France: 125 EUR a day, up to 7 days (two stays per project per year)
- Tunisian doctoral students and postdocs in France: 62 EUR a day
- Tunisian researchers' travel to France: about 1,500 DT per trip (Tunisian side)
- French researchers' travel: up to 500 EUR per return trip
- Case-by-case logistics support (small lab supplies, conference fees, publication costs)
