ETH Student Summer Research Fellowship 2027

In short

The ETH Zurich Department of Computer Science takes bachelor's and master's students from other universities for a two-month summer research stay, from 2 July to 27 August 2027. It is open to all nationalities. Applications run from 1 November to 16 December 2026, 13:00 CET. Fellows receive 4,000 Swiss francs, and travel and visa costs are covered.

Who can apply

Nationality

ETH says the programme is open to students of all nationalities. Only students enrolled at ETH Zurich are excluded, so a student at a Tunisian university can apply.

Level and field

Enrolled in a bachelor's or master's programme in computer science or a closely related field, such as electrical engineering, mathematics or physics, with two years of study finished by the start.

Graduation date

The expected graduation must fall in the year after the fellowship or later. A student who finishes a bachelor's degree before the fellowship and has not started a master's is not eligible.

Funding and what it does not cover

Fellows receive 4,000 Swiss francs to cover housing and living expenses. ETH arranges housing and deducts it from the stipend. Travel and visa expenses are covered, against receipts.
