MBZUAI Global Research Internship Program (MGRIP) 2027

In short

MBZUAI runs a fully funded four-week AI research internship in Abu Dhabi from 7 June to 2 July 2027, for students of all nationalities in the penultimate year of a STEM bachelor's or master's degree. Applications open on 1 January 2027 at 8:00 and close on 28 February 2027 at 17:00, UAE time. Housing, health insurance, visa, flights and a stipend are provided.

Who can apply

Nationality

MBZUAI says the summer 2027 admission cycle is for all nationalities. A Tunisian student who meets the study, grade and English conditions can apply.

Level and grades

In the penultimate year of a STEM bachelor's or master's degree, finishing it after September 2027, with a CGPA of at least 3.5 on a 4.0 scale or the equivalent.

English

A valid test from a test centre, such as IELTS Academic 6.5, TOEFL iBT 90, PTE Academic 60 or Cambridge C1 Advanced 180. Home editions are not accepted. A registrar letter on English-medium study can replace the test.

Funding and what it does not cover

MBZUAI provides accommodation, health insurance, the visa, airfares, airport transfers, social activities and a stipend. It does not publish the stipend amount.
