Applicants must be nationals of a country on the TWAS 'Developing countries in the South' list, which includes Tunisia, and must not hold Chinese citizenship.

CAS covers the tuition waiver, a monthly stipend of 6,000 or 7,000 CNY for up to 48 months, health insurance and the application fee waiver; TWAS/UNESCO covers one international trip to China and a one-time visa fee, if eligible.
