The Hong Kong University of Science and Technology (HKUST) considers every applicant to its 2027 bachelor's intake for academic scholarships worth up to full tuition plus 65,000 Hong Kong dollars a year. Its Future Leaders Award supports non-local students with exceptional financial need. Priority Round deadline: 25 November 2026; Future Leaders Award form: 2 December 2026.
Who can apply
Nationality
Merit scholarships are open to all applicants, and the Future Leaders Award and the Global Learners Scholarship are for non-local applicants. HKUST sets no list of countries, so Tunisian applicants qualify as non-local students.
Future Leaders Award
Admitted directly from high school (post-secondary applicants are not eligible), proof of exceptional financial need, and a recommendation for admission in the Priority Round.

Funding and what it does not cover
Merit awards range from a partial tuition waiver to full tuition plus a living allowance of 65,000 Hong Kong dollars a year. The Future Leaders Award can reach full tuition plus a living allowance, based on need. The Global Learners Scholarship is a full tuition waiver.
