KNB Scholarship (Kemitraan Negara Berkembang) — bachelor's, master's and PhD in Indonesia

The FAQ says KNB is for foreign nationals from developing countries or countries with diplomatic relations with Indonesia, and that home countries are selected on Ministry of Foreign Affairs recommendations. No country list is published and Tunisia is not named. Refugees and stateless people cannot apply.

A recommendation letter from the Indonesian Embassy or Consulate General in the applicant's country of origin (not country of residence) is mandatory; honorary consuls cannot issue it.

For the 2026/27 round, at 31 December 2026: no older than 21 for bachelor's, 35 for master's and 40 for doctoral study.

Minimum GPA 2.75 for bachelor's level and 3.00 for master's and doctoral levels; applicants cannot apply for a level at which they already hold a degree.

English minimums: IELTS 5.5 / TOEFL iBT 53 (bachelor's), IELTS 6.0 / TOEFL iBT 61 (master's), IELTS 6.0 / TOEFL iBT 71 (PhD). A year of Indonesian (BIPA) is compulsory and degree classes are in Indonesian.

Legalised diplomas and transcripts, CV, employer and academic recommendations, passport valid to at least 31 December 2027, a video of up to 5 minutes, a medical report and, for applicants from Africa, a yellow fever vaccination certificate.
