DAAD scholarship for university students to take a four-week German language and culture course at a German university between June and September 2027. It covers the course, accommodation, a €475 allowance, a travel allowance and insurance. German at A2 or higher is required. The DAAD Tunis call is open until 30 October 2026, 23:59 CET.

The DAAD Regional Office Tunis published the 2027 call, and the DAAD scholarship database lists the programme with Tunisia selected as country of origin, naming the Tunis office as advice centre. Eligibility depends on enrolment at a university in a programme country (not Germany).

Funding and what it does not cover

The scholarship covers the language course, a single room arranged by the course provider, a one-time allowance of €475, a country-specific travel allowance (€309 for Tunisia in DAAD's table valid from 1 January 2026) and health, accident and personal liability insurance. The allowance and travel money are paid in cash on site.
