Criteria stated by the funder on the official source.
Nationality
KISC does not list eligible nationalities. Citizens of non-EU/EFTA countries need a visa and must be under 35 during their volunteering period; KISC arranges the permit, and placement depends on approval by the Swiss authorities.
StatedScout membership
Active membership of a Scout or Guide association recognised by WOSM/WAGGGS, confirmed by a letter from your national organisation. WOSM lists Les Scouts Tunisiens as Tunisia's national scout organisation.
StatedAge
At least 18 when the season starts; under 35 for the whole period for holders of non-EU/EFTA passports.
StatedLanguage
Able to communicate well in written and spoken English; all application documents must be in English.
StatedAvailability
Physically and mentally able to volunteer for the full three-month season.
StatedFunding and what it does not cover
Short-Term Staff get a shared room, all meals, basic toiletries, laundry, accident and liability insurance and the administration of the Swiss work permit, including Swiss visa fees. After arrival they can apply to the Solidarity Fund for a travel refund of up to 700 CHF (Arab region). There is no pocket money for Short-Term Staff.

- Private travel insurance for sickness and routine dental care
- Travel to and from Kandersteg (beyond any Solidarity Fund refund)
- Visa fees charged by the embassy in your own country
- Pocket money for personal expenses
