The Abdus Salam International Centre for Theoretical Physics (ICTP) in Trieste offers mathematics postdoctoral fellowships starting in 2027, for 24 months with a possible 12-month extension. The tax-free stipend is 2,100 to 2,300 euros a month, plus a travel grant of 2,000 euros a year and health insurance. Candidates from and working in developing countries are preferred. The deadline is 13 December 2026.
Who can apply
Nationality
ICTP sets no nationality condition and prefers candidates from, and working in, developing countries. A Tunisian mathematician working in Tunisia fits that preference.
