In short

The Reuters Institute for the Study of Journalism at the University of Oxford hosts experienced journalists for three or six months. Its Thomson Reuters Fellowships are fully funded and open to mid-career journalists from any country; a Mona Megalli Fellowship is reserved for journalists from the Middle East. Applicants need more than five years of newsroom experience. Applications reopen in January 2027; the closing date is not published yet.

Nationality
The Thomson Reuters Fellowships and the climate fellowships are open to journalists from any country, so Tunisian journalists can apply. The Mona Megalli Fellowship is for journalists from the Middle East.
Experience
More than five years of experience working in newsrooms. Climate fellowships are for experienced climate journalists.
Materials
A one-page project statement, a 100-word summary, a one-page motivation statement and a two-page CV, each PDF of up to 25 MB, plus two references.
