ENS-PSL International Selection — three-year grant of 1,000 euros a month and campus housing in Paris

The École normale supérieure (Université PSL) recruits about 20 students a year who did their undergraduate studies abroad, in sciences or humanities, for three years leading to the ENS diploma and a master's. Laureates get 1,000 euros a month for 36 months and a room on campus. Applications for the 2027 session run from 16 October to 15 December 2026, 14:00 Paris time.

Criteria stated by the funder on the official source.
Education
At least one year of undergraduate study at a foreign university before applying, and two years by 1 September after admission.
StatedAge
Sciences: under 26 on the opening day of applications. Humanities: not past the 26th birthday on 1 December.
StatedTime in France
Sciences: no more than 6 months enrolled in a French school or university during the competition year and the year before. Humanities: no more than 10 months lived in France in the same period.
StatedLanguage
Humanities: French at about B1 level, tests in French. Sciences: no level required; interviews in French or English.
StatedFunding and what it does not cover
A monthly grant of 1,000 euros for 36 months, paid into a French bank account, and a room on one of the ENS campuses. Laureates pay registration fees; tuition in French public universities is paid by the State.
