Who can apply
Criteria stated by the funder on the official source.
Nationality
Applicants must have a non-EEA/non-EFTA passport and not qualify for Dutch government student finance. Tunisia is not named, but a Tunisian passport meets this rule. All LLM Advanced Studies and the MSc International Relations and Diplomacy accept all nationalities.
StatedEducation
Excellent results in a previous programme relevant to the chosen master's; as an indication, the top 10% of graduates. Holders of a Leiden master's degree are excluded.
StatedProgramme
Full-time Leiden master's programmes starting in September; not the non-advanced LLM or MSc programmes at Leiden Law School.
StatedFunding and what it does not cover
The LExS is deducted from the tuition fee at one of five levels (€10,000, €15,000, €17,500, €18,500 or €19,000) and is awarded for the duration of the programme. Leiden says it is not a full scholarship and does not cover the full cost of study.
