Nationality
Graduate and PhD scholarships for international students from the EU and DAC countries; priority for DAC-country applicants not yet resident in Germany. Tunisia is not named on the page.
StatedEducation
Master's: first degree completed abroad, for a full-time master's of at least four semesters at a state-recognised German university. PhD: graduate degree completed abroad.
StatedLanguage
International applicants must prove good or very good German, at least level B2 or DSH 1.
StatedCommitment
Applicants should share the foundation's ideals of democracy, ecology, solidarity and non-violence and take an active socio-political role.
StatedFunding and what it does not cover
For non-EU international scholars (funded by the Federal Foreign Office): base scholarship of EUR 992 a month for master's students or EUR 1,500 a month for PhD candidates, a health insurance allowance, and optional components such as tuition fees in Germany of up to EUR 10,000 a year, German course fees, EUR 38 a month in fixed benefits and family allowances.
